For the most part, this table lists entities designated by the United States under Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their supporters.  The United States has also designated Iranian entities under other authorities, including the Iranian Transaction Regulations, which bars transactions with entities owned or controlled by the Government of Iran, Executive Order 13224, which targets entities linked to terrorism, and Executive Order 13553, which targets human rights abusers, as well as other authorities.
