In 2002, exported a mass spectrometer to Iran for diagnosis and treatment of cancer, for use at Iran?s Center for Agriculture and Medicine at Karaj; in December 2003, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) examined two undeclared mass spectrometers at the mass spectrometry laboratories at Karaj; according to Australian officials one of the spectrometers was supplied by GBC Scientific; Iran admitted that the spectrometers had been used to provide isotope enrichment measurements to the Atomic Vapor Laser Isotope Separation (AVLIS) program in violation of export conditions; the IAEA took environmental samples from the spectrometers; in July 2003, GBC's application to export a second spectrometer, reportedly to Iran?s Amir Kabir University, was denied by the Australian government; reportedly a time of flight spectrometer, known as the OptiMass 8000 and worth $400,000 AUD; however, an export license for spare spectrometer parts was granted; Western officials reportedly claim that the equipment could be used to optimize fissile material isotopic vectors; however, according to GBC, the spectrometer is not ideally suited for use in uranium enrichment and would be destroyed if used to measure uranium enrichment.

Operating since 1978; managed by Mr. Ron Grey; manufactures scientific equipment including Atomic Absorption spectrometers, UV-Visible spectrometers, Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission spectrometers, High Performance Liquid Chromatographs and Inductively Coupled Plasma Time of Flight Mass spectrometers.
