| Along with Traian Bujduveanu (see separate entity record), Kesh Air International Corp., and Orion Aviation Corp., targeted on July 3, 2008 in Miami, Florida by an 11-count federal grand jury indictment alleging violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the United States Iran Embargo, and the Arms Export Control Act; between October 2006 and May 2008, allegedly conspired to export military aircraft parts to Iran by way of the United Arab Emirates without the required U.S. government authorizations; allegedly placed orders and purchased military aircraft parts on behalf of customers in Iran from Bujduveanu and Orion Aviation and other U.S. companies; Keshari and Bujduveanu allegedly exported and caused to be exported fitting assemblies and switching assemblies for the AH-1 (Cobra) attack helicopter, harness assemblies and accumulators for the F-14 fighter jet, and diaphragm seals for the CH-53A military helicopter; at least some of the shipments were sent from Orion Aviation to Planet Commercial Brokerage in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, including one addressed to and accepted by Behnam Fattahi; Keshari was arrested on June 20, 2008; pled guilty on January 26, 2009, along with Kesh Air, to conspiring to illegally export military and commercial aircraft parts to Iran; on May 13, 2009, sentenced to 17 months imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised release, and a $100 criminal monetary penalty, in addition to forfeiting interest in aircraft parts and cash; Kesh Air was sentenced to 3 years of probation and a $400.00 criminal monetary penalty, in addition to the same forfeiture order; owner and president of Kesh Air; naturalized U.S. citizen born in Iran, on September 1, 1962. |
