An engineer involved in managing the assembly and engineering of centrifuges; listed in an annex to U.N. Security Council Resolution 1803 of March 3, 2008, as a person linked to Iran's proliferation sensitive nuclear activities or development of nuclear weapon delivery systems; with some exceptions, the designation requires states to freeze financial assets on their territories which are owned or controlled by the person, by its agents, by entities it owns or controls, or by entities determined by the Security Council to have assisted the listed person in evading sanctions; the designation also requires states to ensure that any funds, financial assets or economic resources are prevented from being made available by their nationals or by any persons or entities within their territories, to or for the benefit of the listed person; the resolution calls on states to "exercise vigilance and restraint" in allowing the designated person to enter or to transit through their territories, and requires states to notify the Security Council if the person does so; listed by the European Union on April 23, 2007, as an entity linked to Iran's proliferation-sensitive nuclear activities or Iran's development of nuclear weapon delivery systems; with some exceptions, and within their jurisdiction, European Union member states must freeze all funds and economic resources owned, held or controlled by the listed entity, and must also ensure that funds or economic resources are not made available to or for the benefit of the listed entity; on August 27, 2006, recognized by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for managing the assembly and engineering of centrifuges, and for operating a 164-machine centrifuge cascade for uranium enrichment; according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), member of the board of directors of Tamin Tajhizat Sanayeh Hasteieh (see separate entity record); reported "head of montage and engineering at the Natanz site" (see separate record).
