Listed by the British government in 2011 as an entity of potential concern for WMD-related procurement; designated by the Canadian government in July 2010 as an entity contributing to Iran's proliferation-sensitive nuclear activities or to its development of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons or their delivery systems; designation prohibits Canadian parties from providing goods or financial services to the entity or dealing in property held by the entity. Allegedly was the intended recipient of electrical switchgears illegally exported from the United Kingdom by Dr. Ramin Pouladian-Kari, who was found guilty in December 2011, on charges relating to the illegal exportation of goods in violation of the United Kingdom's Customs and Excise Management Act of 1979; Pouladian-Kari, who has served as managing director and board member of ITC, reportedly exported 361 electrical switchgears to ITC, via Dubai, between May 2008 and December 2009, using GTC Associates Ltd., his UK-based company. Manufactures and installs switchgear panels and electrical systems; works with the petrochemical, chemical, power generation, and utility services industries. |
