A subsidiary of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI - see separate entity record) that has, according to the United Nations Security Council, "sought glass fibers, vacuum chamber furnaces and laboratory equipment for Iran's nuclear program"; listed by the British government in 2008 as an entity of potential concern for WMD-related procurement, and has had export licenses both granted and denied by that government; listed in an annex to U.N. Security Council Resolution 1747 of March 24, 2007, as an entity involved in Iran's nuclear or ballistic missile activities; with some exceptions, the designation requires states to freeze the financial assets on their territories which are owned or controlled by the entity, by its agents, or by entities it controls; the designation also requires states to ensure that funds, financial assets or economic resources are prevented from being made available by their nationals or by any persons or entities within their territories, to or for the benefit of the entity; added to the Specially Designated National (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on February 16, 2007, freezing its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems; according to the U.S. Treasury Department, sole shareholder is the AEOI; listed by the Japanese government in 2007 as an entity of concern for proliferation related to biological, chemical and nuclear weapons; listed as an entity of concern for occasional military procurement activities in an early warning document distributed by the German government to industry in July 2005; attempted to procure four rotary vacuum pumps, components and accessories for use with vacuum pumps for the Nuclear Research Centre for Agriculture and Medicine (see separate entity record), but the procurement was denied on April 11, 2003, by a member state of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG); intended recipient of vacuum pumps and components, the procurement of which was denied on January 28, 2002, by a member state of the NSG; intended recipient of an inductively coupled plasma time-of-flight mass spectrometer, the procurement of which was denied in April 2001, by a member state of the NSG; identified by the British government in February 1998 as having procured goods and/or technology for weapons of mass destruction programs (specifically nuclear), in "addition to doing non-proliferation related business"; develops and provides advanced non-destructive testing inspection equipment; manufacturer and supplier of radioimmunoassay kits, radiopharmaceuticals, and laboratory equipment; expertise in examining metal structures in aircraft, ships, drilling rigs, bridges, power stations, petrochemical plants, and oil and gas pipelines; previous projects include work at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant; reportedly a contact person is Mr. J.
