Fifth fuel shipment from Russia arrives

The fifth nuclear fuel shipment from Russia for Bushehr nuclear power plant arrived in Iran Tuesday morning.

Iran Atomic Energy Production and Development Company announced that the shipment has been forwarded to Bushehr nuclear power plant.

So far, 55 tons of a total 82 tons of the needed fuel for primary stage of commissioning of the Bushehr nuclear power plant have been received, the company added.

It said that the remaining three shipments will be delivered to Iran according to the schedule.

The first nuclear fuel shipment from Russia arrived on December 17, 2007.
