According to a U.S. federal criminal complaint, conspired with Nosratollah Tajik between October 2005 and August 2006 to export U.S.-origin night vision equipment to foreign countries for re-export to Iran without the required U.S. government authorization; between October 2005 and March 2006, allegedly solicited the purchase of $55,170 worth of night vision equipment for export to Iran via Turkey, claiming that his Iranian client wanted at least three million dollars worth of night vision equipment; in April and May 2006, allegedly sent purchase orders for $64,985 worth of night vision equipment to be shipped to Dubai; between May and July 2006, allegedly arranged for Tajik to handle the payment for and delivery of $51,155 worth of restricted night vision equipment from the United States to the U.K. for re-export to Iran; allegedly transferred the payment for this transaction from Saman Bank in Iran to HSBC Bank in the U.K. in August 2006; in August 2006, allegedly estimated his client would order over one million dollars over the next six months and inquired about Raytheon gyro products; allegedly also offered to use contacts in Sweden and Germany as transshipment points for procurement of U.S.-origin night vision equipment for Iran; allegedly affiliated with the Industrial Automation Group.
