Has reportedly overseen an IRGC missile and space research center; has reportedly developed combat drones and the 1,900kg Salman solid-fuel motor.

Receives support from the Iranian national Sayyed Mohammad Ali Haddadnezhad Tehrani.

Personnel have reportedly included the late Major General Hassan Tehrani Moqaddam (director), who was reportedly involved in the design and production of ballistic missiles, including the anti-ship Persian Gulf missile; other officials from the IRGC Research and Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization reportedly took over Moqaddam's projects after his death in November 2011.

Sanctions

Designated by the U.S. Department of State on July 18, 2017, pursuant to Executive Order 13382; added to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on July 18, 2017, freezing its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems; foreign parties facilitating transactions for the entity or otherwise assisting the entity are subject to U.S. sanctions; also designated pursuant to Executive Order 13224, which targets terrorists and those providing support to terrorists or acts of terrorism; subject to the Iranian Financial Sanctions Regulations; foreign financial institutions facilitating transactions for the entity may be prohibited from opening or maintaining correspondent or payable-through accounts in the United States.
