Storage location for nuclear waste from uranium conversion experiments carried out at the Isfahan (Esfahan) Nuclear Technology Center (ENTC), including 6.7 kg of liquid waste from the conversion of uranium ore concentrate (UOC) to ammonium diuranate (ADU) and ADU to uranium dioxide (UO2); experiments conducted from early 1985 to mid-1987; stores waste from uranium tetrafluoride (UF4) production experiments at the Tehran Nuclear Research Center (TNRC), which took place from 1990 to mid-1991, and 0.5 kg of waste from dry process UF4 production, which took place at the TNRC from the end of 1991 to early 1992; also stores waste from experiments converting uranyl nitrate (UN) to UO3, which took place at the TNRC in the second half of 1992, and liquid UO2 waste from pulse column experiments conducted at the TNRC from early 1997 to early 2002; stores liquid wastes from depleted UO2 irradiation and subsequent reprocessing experiments at the TNRC; according to Iran, also the repository for wastes and collectors used in experiments involving uranium metal at the Laser Spectroscopy Laboratory (LSL) and the Comprehensive Separation Laboratory (CSL); visited by the IAEA between June and August 2003, and again between July 6-18, 2004.
