U.S. led sanctions have hampered Iran’s ability to conduct business abroad and dampened Iran’s ability to attract foreign investment in its energy sector. Additional sanctions implemented by the U.S. could be used to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran and have a deterrent impact on other firms looking at potential investments in Iran.
