Egypt rejects settling Iran's nuclear file militarily and adheres to the peaceful solution, according to a Foreign Ministry official.

"The military solution will drag the region into a zone of complications that should be avoided," Plenipotentiary Minister Ali Omar Serri told the People's Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee Sunday 24/2/2008.

There are some double standards in dealing with issues in the Middle East, he said, referring to Egypt's call at all regional and international forums for having Israel's nuclear arsenal subjected to international inspection.
