Q - Can you confirm a possible agreement between the Americans and the Troika on the atomic issue in Iran?
The Board of Governors is holding consultations in Vienna, and it hasn't yet wrapped up its session. What has happened is that the Americans have indeed joined the Europeans on the basic principles of a text, but you can be sure that in a case like this one, our objective is to achieve as broad a consensus as possible, which presumes further consultations with other partners-notably the non-aligned nations, and of course Russia and China. But I can indeed confirm that this development has taken place.
Q - Is France worried about information from several opposition groups in recent days on the development of a nuclear site in Bandar Abbas specifically to produce nuclear weapons? Has this matter been referred to you and do you have the same information?
What's important for us is for the IAEA to be able to study and make observations and to present a report on this basis. We believe that the Agency's experts have to do their job. That's why one of the most important things for us since the beginning of this business, since the Teheran agreements last October 13, has been the excellent cooperation between the Iranian authorities and the Agency. That's what counts for us.
