Tehran, July 31, IRNA -- Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mahmoud Bahmani said on Tuesday that CBI will adopt dynamic measures to thwart economic sanctions.
He said that the economic sanctions have aimed to sabotage national economy, so that the CBI will neutralize them with rapid reaction methods.
He said that CBI considers the sanctions as declaration of war and special team has been formed to deal with them dynamically.
Bahmani said that the CBI does not prefer to have multiple exchange rates and will pursue dynamic measures to stabilize single rate for foreign currency.
"In order to enforce single rate for foreign currency we need to operate in a way we do in the battlefield with the enemy."
"We should adopt a unified stand and coordinated management to thwart economic sanctions," Bahmani said.
He said that Iranian banks including CBI are subject to sanctions but "we are currently handling the affairs perfectly."
