Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Dr Hamidreza Assefi, Thursday evening rejected the resolution issued earlier in the day by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and said: The resolution is politically motivated, and is passed under the pressure of the US and its allies, and is devoid of legal and logical base and is unacceptable.
Dr Assefi added: By issuing this resolution the EU3 have acted against the spirit of NPT` s safeguard treaty and the negotiations conducted during the past two years, as well as against Paris Agreement.
He further said: While the activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran have had no deviation from peaceful purposes, and are being conducted under the supervision of IAEA , issuance of this resolution cast doubt upon efficiency and independence of IAEA. He stipulated: The Islamic Republic of Iran does not forego its legitimate rights and continue to persist on making peaceful use of nuclear technology.
