Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi, said that Iran is optimistic about its future talks with the Group 5+1 over the country`s peaceful nuclear program.
Speaking to reporters at his weekly press briefing, Qashqavi said that Iran`s nuclear talks with the West should continue respecting the absolute rights of the Iranian nation.
`Any agreement or understanding should be reached through dialogue with respect to the absolute rights of the Iranian nation and through a constructive and positive strategy,` Qashqavi stressed.
Referring to a telephone contact which is due to be made later on Monday between Iran`s top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, and the European Union`s foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, the spokesman said `the talks are still underway and will continue.
` Asked whether Jalili is to answer the Group 5+1 package of proposal during his telephone conversation with Solana, Qashqavi said, `These are just media speculations.

Qashqavi said sanctions imposed on Iran over its peaceful nuclear program have not had any impact on Iran`s absolute nuclear rights.
`Iran`s absolute rights within the NPT framework cannot be denied.
Sanctions will not have any effect on our absolute and undeniable rights,` he added.
