Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said here Sunday different ideas were raised at the Madrid meeting between Iran and EU which require more review and evaluation.

Hosseini was speaking to domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press conference while pointing to the meeting held between Iran`s Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani and the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana in Madrid, Spain, on May 31.

"It was agreed to discuss these ideas at expert level sessions," he said.

On more Iranian cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), he added, "Our cooperation will be just within the frameworks of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the IAEA regulations."

In response to a question on the date of next talks between Larijani and Solana, the spokesman stated, "Based on an agreement between the sides, talks will be held within the next two weeks but expert sessions will be held before the meeting."

He added, "The issue of (uranium) suspension has not been raised during talks."

On a recent report by IAEA Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei that Iran has failed to provide answers to certain questions by the agency and whether Larijani had promised Solana to take action in this respect, he said: "Iran is providing answers to IAEA questions and handling visits by its inspections within frameworks of regulations and agreements reached upon between Tehran and the IAEA."

He added, "It is possible to reach agreement on certain ambiguities if the Iranian nuclear case is sent back to IAEA."

Hosseini also noted that the date and venue of the future talks between Iran and the US have not been determined yet.

"The outcome of the talks between the two sides in Baghdad is currently under study.

Decisions will be made about the issue in due time," the spokesman stated.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said here Sunday no change has been made in Iran`s nuclear policy following the Madrid meeting between Iranian and EU negotiators.

Hosseini made the remark at his weekly press conference in response to a question on impacts of the meeting held between Iran`s Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani and the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana in Madrid, Spain, on Thursday on Iran`s nuclear stance and the possibility of suspension of uranium enrichment.

"It seems as though the media were more interested in the issue of suspension than politicians," he said.

Asked about the possibility of continuation of Iran-US talks on Iraq, he said, "One of the points we have stressed in the talks for the US to witness the realities around its incorrect policies in Iraq."

The spokesman said, "If the US has strong resolve to change its approach in Iraq, we can be optimistic about continuation of the talks."

In response to a question on possibility of adoption of a third resolution against Iran by the UN Security Council and Washington`s role in exerting more pressure on Iran, Hosseini said, "The US has so far been following the policy of extending the scope of the sanctions against Iran. Even in cases where they (US) have faced restrictions as a result of the resolution, they have adopted measures beyond the resolution."

The spokesman stressed, "Adoption of resolutions and even their implementation would not make Iran give up its (peaceful nuclear) activities."
