Question: How could you comment upon the outcome of yesterday's meeting between the representatives of the European trio, Russia, China and the United States on the Iranian nuclear program?
Answer: A regular meeting was held April 18 in Moscow between the political directors/deputy foreign ministers of China, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, Britain, the United States and the European Union to exchange views on the situation in connection with the nuclear activities of Iran.
During the discussion, participants noted their concern over the fact that the government of Iran has still not responded positively concerning the steps that are required of Iran in the IAEA Board of Governors' resolution of February 4 and which were supported in the United Nations Security Council President's statement of March 29, including suspension of all uranium conversion and enrichment activities.
Committed to a diplomatic negotiated solution of the problem, the participants of the meeting agreed to continue consultations on the matter after the presentation of the IAEA Director General report solicited in the UNSC President's statement.
