Council Regulation (EU) 961/2010 on restrictive measures against Iran and repealing Regulation (EC) 433/2007 came into force on 27 October 2010. The regulation implements the measures outlined in Council Decision 2010/413/CFSP of 26 July 2010 that are necessary to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 1929 (2010). It also imposes additional restrictive measures as requested by the European Council in its Declaration of 17 June 2010.
