"The Federal Government welcomes the fact that, after prolonged and difficult negotiations, the Board of Governors of the IAEA has adopted the pertinent resolution by consensus.

In taking this step, the Board clearly demonstrated its unity vis-à-vis the Government in Tehran and highlighted the international community's concerns regarding Iran's nuclear programme.

It is vital now that Iran use the following weeks up to the next session of the IAEA's Board of Governors to cooperate intensively and actively with the Agency in order to address all remaining unresolved issues and do what has been demanded of it. In this connection it will be of key importance that Iran suspend all enrichment-related activities.

The Federal Government hopes that Iran will grasp this opportunity to dispel all concerns regarding its nuclear programme and thereby contribute to a positive outcome. Together with its partners the Federal Government will continue its intensive diplomatic efforts to this end."
