The Sina Athar Medical Center Devoid of Radiation

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Nuclear Regulatory Authority’s Radiation Protection Office, with Respect to the recent incident in the Sina Athar Clinic in northern Tehran, has publicly announced the following comment:

The explosion occurred on June,30 in the Tehran Quds square, based on-records and permits issued by this office was devoid of any radiation material aimed at diagnosis or treatment purposes.

This medical treatment service center merely possesses imaging and radiology devices with valid authorization.

In addition, the radiation producing devices, from the radiation protection point of view, do not cause any hazard for the rescuers or the public, in times of incidents occurring, such as fire.
