In a phone call with the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, the President received a report on the process of applying for a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and once again slammed any discrimination between Iran and other countries, saying, "The IMF must fulfill its duty to observe international obligations in these hard times without being affected by the enemies of the Iranian nation".

During the phone call, Dr Abdol-Nasser Hemmati explained the measures taken, and said that the request is in the process of being submitted to the Fund's Executive Board, and we are determined to follow up the issue.

The Governor of the Central Bank presented a report on the process of pursuing Central Bank's resources in foreign banks and other available resources to be used in order to meet the needs of the people, especially the essentials for fighting coronavirus.

He also reported on Iran's legal success in unfreezing $1.6 billion of the Central Bank's resources at Luxembourg's Clearstream.
