CENTCOM Commander Congratulates Yemen on Interdiction of UAV Engines

TAMPA, Fla. – Today, Gen. Michael “Erik” Kurilla called the Yemeni Chief of Defense Lt. Gen. Saghir Hamood Bin Aziz to congratulate him on the recent successful Yemeni interdiction of 100 unmanned aerial vehicle engines bound for Houthi militants.

Kurilla commended the professionalism of the Yemeni security forces and reiterated CENTCOM’s enduring commitment to the security of the Middle East.

“These types of interdictions are critical for regional security and stability,” said Col. Joe Buccino, CENTCOM spokesperson.
