Statement by Director General Mohamed ElBaradei regarding the importance of reaching a peaceful solution to Iran’s nuclear program. The IAEA needs to emphasize the use of verification measures and ensure that all other Agency options have been exhausted before resorting to other alternatives. The IAEA is the verification arm of the NPT thus it is crucial that the IAEA performs that function to uphold its obligation.
