The Heads of State or Government of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, met under the Chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Tehran on the 30th and the 31st of August 2012 to address existing, new and emerging issues of collective concern and interest of the Non-Aligned Movement. In this regard, they reaffirmed and underscored the Movement’s abiding faith in and strong commitment to its founding principles, ideals and purposes, particularly in establishing a peaceful and prosperous world and a just and equitable world order as well as to the purposes and principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter.
