Dr. Abdelouahed Belkeziz, Secretary General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, expressed in a press statement his satisfaction with the positive developments and the ongoing cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The Secretary General welcomed the Islamic Republic of Iran's decision to sign the additional Protocol of the International Atomic Energy Agency, as well as the many other measures adopted by the Islamic Republic of Iran in favour of increased transparency in its relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency, such as to boost relations between the two parties and ensure the Islamic Republic of Iran's right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

The Secretary General expressed the hope that these positive developments would open a new chapter of cooperation and mutual trust between Iran and the Atomic Energy Agency, such as to lead to the resolution of all outstanding issues between the two parties at the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's jury being held in the course of the current month of November.
