On 21 September 2023, Yemen’s Ansarullah (Houthi) movement staged a parade in the Yemeni capital Sanaa to commemorate the ninth anniversary of their takeover of the city. Among the capabilities on display were several previously unseen ballistic- and cruise-missile types of Iranian origin.

The parade served to reinforce the close ties between Tehran and its Houthi ally, and the former’s apparent willingness to supply missile systems that it has only recently revealed within Iran.
