A meeting of the Joint Commission of the six world powers and Iran coordinated by the European Union was held in Vienna on March 16. The Joint Commission remains the only mechanism authorised to review the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) approved by UNSC resolution 2231.

A regular meeting of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) took place in Vienna on 16 March 2018. This was the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission since JCPOA Implementation Day (16 January 2016). Under the terms of the JCPOA, the Joint Commission is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the nuclear deal.

The Agency has been verifying and monitoring the implementation by Iran of its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action for more than two years.
The JCPOA represents a significant gain for verification. As of today, I can state that Iran is implementing its nuclear-related commitments.
