President Mohammad Khatami on Wednesday called on Europeans to secure guarantees for Iran`s continued peaceful nuclear technology and activities.
Speaking at a press conference at the end of a cabinet session, Khatami said Iran would in return guarantee that would not deviate from the path for peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Just north of the Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) at Esfahan, Iran is constructing a tunnel facility. The tunnel is fairly long, and has two entrances, separated by less than half a kilometer. Construction on the tunnel began in September or October 2004, and Iran is working very hard to finish the project.
