Boroujerdi-Enrichment Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here Monday continuation of voluntary uranium enrichment suspension is unwise.

Addressing university students, Boroujerdi said, "I think we should put an end to voluntary and temporary suspension of uranium enrichment. We should restart it from Isfahan UCF (Uranium Conversion Facility)." " Since we removed all ambiguities, we should put an end to voluntary suspension," he said, adding "Europeans seek wasting time through prolongation of talks. But we do not regard such trend as logical and in line with our national interests." He pointed to recent talks held between President Mohammad Khatami and French President Jacques Chirac in Paris and added, "The French president stressed Iran's right to resume enrichment." Boroujerdi told reporters Iran has done whatever needed to build confidence with the international community.

He pointed to Iran's signing up to the Additional Protocol to NPT granting snap inspection right to the International Atomic Energy Agency to Iran's nuclear facilities and stressed," No other measure is needed. In fact there is no other step remained to be taken.

"All necessary steps for confidence-building have been taken."
