Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said on Saturday that some western states try to foment tension and crisis in order to justify their misdeeds but to no avail.
According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qashqavi accused those western states of doing their best to divert world public opinion.
The Islamic Republic of Iran which seeks to defend its legitimate rights through peaceful application of nuclear technology has successfully set up a new plant for enriching uranium to meet the country's nuclear fuel.
He strongly refuted baseless allegations on the new nuclear installation and said Iran's nuclear activities are transparent and within IAEA rules and regulations.
As per the NPT, the activities pertaining to injection of gas into centrifuges should be announced to IAEA six months before the operation starts but the Islamic Republic of Iran once again tried to indicate its goodwill and announced the issue much sooner to IAEA, he said.
"Regretfully, some western countries through propaganda and illegal acts created an unfair atmosphere to distort realities and this indicates their unwillingness for trust building, "he said.
Qashqavi also advised the western governments to respect international rules and code of conduct and avoid interfering in the IAEA'S affairs.
Some western states only seek to foment tension in order to divert world public opinions, he said, adding that such attempts are however doomed to fail and the IAEA will study Iran's dossier independently and this will discredit the hasty allegations of ill-wishers, Qashqavi said.
