Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov received on November 28 the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow, Mahmoud Reza Sajadi. The situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program was discussed in the light of the latest IAEA report on this issue.

Ryabkov underscored the need for Iran to fully cooperate with the IAEA in clarifying the questions still outstanding about its nuclear activities. He also pointed out the importance of a positive reaction from Iran to the proposal of the six countries for launching a negotiation process with a view to a comprehensive resolution of the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program.
