Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Kamalvandi said the Russian delegation is to install equipment for producing stable isotope in Iran's Fordo nuclear site. 

Relative contract for the installation of the stable isotope equipment was signed last year after exchange of visits between the two sides' experts, he said. 

Installation of the the facilities will be kicked off in the near future upon their arrival. 

n isotope is an atom whose nuclei contain the same number of protons but a different number of neutrons. Isotopes are broken into two specific types: stable and unstable. These unstable isotopes are commonly referred to as radioactive isotopes.

There are approximately 300 known naturally occurring stable isotopes.
