A company which allegedly brokers aircraft parts and related goods on behalf of foreign customers; indicted in July 2008 on 25 counts, for allegedly purchasing helicopter engines and other aircraft components from U.S. firms and illegally exporting them to Iran using companies in Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates, between August 2005 and July 2008; allegedly purchased 17 model 250 turbo-shaft helicopter engines (originally designed for a U.S. Army light observation helicopter) from Indiana on behalf of an Iranian trading company, with the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA) among the recipients in Iran after shipment through Malaysia and other third countries.
Allegedly caused the export of 50 "5th stage vanes" from Connecticut, falsely stating that the components were destined for Belgium, while the parts were routed to Iran Aircraft Industries (IACI); also targeted in the indictment owner Thomas McGuinn, sales/procurement director Sean McGuinn, and commercial manager Sean Byrne; U.S. officials reportedly say the charges stem from an investigation of a larger procurement network run by Hossein Khoshnevisrad, who allegedly used Mac Aviation and other firms around the world to obtain sensitive U.S. technology for Iranian military entities.
Registered in Ireland, reportedly with company number 201087, and registered address at the home of Thomas McGuinn; reportedly co-owned by Josephine McGuinn, who is also reportedly a director of the company.
