(KRIBHCO) which operates the monothermal ammonia-hydrogen exchange plant which supplies unafeguarded Hazira Heavy Water Plant.
Supplied vanadium pentoxide catalyst to the Iranian Defense Industries Organization (DIO) Parchin Chemical Factory for use in its sulphuric acid plant; products manufactured include noise silencers, reactors, crystallizers, heat exchangers and pressure vessels made of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals, electric fusion welded pipes, and pipe fittings.
Offers evaluation services for catalysts, absorbents and solids, including pore volume and porosity testing, surface acidity testing, chemical analysis, water absorption capacity, attrition loss, mechanical strength, particle size analysis, thermal analysis, thermomagnetics, ore microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction.
PDIL, Rashtriya Chemical and Southern Petrochemical were all sanctioned by the United States in November 1998 for being "involved in nuclear or missile activities, as were all ammonia plants colocated with heavy water plants Baroda, Hazira, Talcher, Thal-Vaishet in Maharashtra, Tuticorin;" sanctions removed in October 2001, but this organization may remain on the U.S. "Entity List."
