Effective February 19, 2010, added to the U.S. Entity List, due to involvement in activities that could be contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States; no export, re-export or in-country transfer involving this entity and any item subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is permitted without a license from the U.S. Commerce Department, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
Arrested in Guam on February 3, 2010, on charges of exporting, attempting to export, and causing to be exported U.S.-made goods to Iran by way of Hong Kong and Taiwan without required authorizations, in violation of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and the United States Iran Embargo.
Since early 2007, allegedly facilitated more than 30 shipments of U.S. commodities to Iran in violation of U.S. export laws; allegedly caused dual use goods to be exported from the United States to Iran, including P200 turbine engines and spare parts that can be used in unmanned aerial vehicles and military target drones, MIL-S-8516 sealing compound with military and aerospace applications, glass-to-metal pin seals with applications in aerospace industries, thermal imaging devices, chemical agent monitors, and weapons systems, and circular hermetic connectors with aerospace and defense applications; allegedly caused sealing compound to be shipped to a consignee address in Iran linked to Electro SANAM Industries; allegedly used Hong Kong freight forwarders Acteam Logistics Ltd. and Tex-Co Ltd. to transship U.S. goods bound for Iran; customers in Iran allegedly included the owner of Noavaran Sooyab Sanat Co., which was founded as an instrumentation division of Jahad Engineering Research Center.
Allegedly owns Taiwanese companies In-Tech Company Ltd. and Landstar Tech Company Ltd.; shares an address with Christine Sun; 40 years old as of February 4, 2010; a Taiwan passport holder.
