A brigadier general in the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force and chairman of the Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Defense Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL) of Iran; a deputy defense minister of Iran as of 2019.
Visited Russia to participate in the MAKS airshow in 2019 and reportedly 2017; has reportedly taken part in discussions with Russian officials about Russian-Iranian cooperation in designing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the export of Iranian UAVs to Russia.
Reportedly served as managing director of IAIO from September 2015 until January 2020; reportedly has served as a deputy commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force and a deputy overall commander of Iran's regular military.

Sanctioned on August 4, 2023, by the government of Canada for involvement in Iran’s proliferation activities or affiliation with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), prohibiting (with some exceptions) the person’s access to goods, funds, and related services in Canada.
