An educational services and training company that has acted as a research center for Sharif University of Technology.

Reportedly specializes in automation; offers courses in chemical, electrical, electronic, mechanical, and polymer engineering, management systems, metallurgy, quality control, radiation protection, and standards development.

In 2019, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Center for Research and Training, Technical Protection, and Occupational Health related to increasing radiation protection safety in industry; in 2003, reportedly co-sponsored an international workshop on the physics and technology of thin films with Iran Cutting Tools Manufacturing and Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO).

Academic and educational arm is Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and manufacturing arm is the Advanced Research Center (ARC); a state-owned enterprise, as of 2000.

Directors have included Mojtaba Tahmures; other officials have reportedly included Amir Hossein Jahangir, Ali Meghdari, Amir Abdullah, Aria Elsti, and Majid Moghadam.

Established in 1992 as a joint venture between Sharif University of Technology and IDRO.

Sanctions

Listed by the British government in 2007 as an entity of potential concern for WMD-related procurement, but removed in 2017 after the U.K. withdrew its Iran list; identified by the British government in February 1998 as having procured goods and/or technology for weapons of mass destruction programs.
