Added on February 3, 2017 to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), freezing its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems; foreign parties facilitating transactions for the entity or otherwise assisting the entity are subject to U.S. sanctions.

Supplies laboratory equipment and analytical instruments; products include instruments for spectroscopy, microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, and thermal analysis, surface analyzers, particle sizers, chromatographs, electrochemical devices, battery and capacitor testers, and fuel cell components.

Customers include Tarbiat Modares University, University of Tehran, Amirkabir University of Technology, Standard Institute, Hamedan University, Industrial University, Polynar Petroleum Company, and Compounding Materials Company.

Employees include Mostafa Zahedi, who sought to procure polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber and carbon fiber production equipment from foreign suppliers.
