An Iranian electronics and telecommunications company; a subsidiary of Iran Communications Industries (ICI); has procured U.S.-origin electronic components from China on behalf of ICI, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Has procured high frequency Near Vertical Incidence Skywave (NVIS) antennas, which have military applications, for end use by ICI; has purchased electronic components through businesses in Iran and the United Arab Emirates, including DES International Co., Ltd., and its owner, Mohammad Soltanmohammadi; has purchased and received shipment of tens of thousands of dollars' worth of goods with the assistance of Hong Kong-based Proma Industry Co., Ltd., according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

As of July 2016, had paid tens of thousands of U.S. dollars to Brunei-based Soltech Industry Co., Ltd., for the purchase of electronic components; according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Soltech Industry Co. offered to deliver goods to the company through a forwarder.

Purchases and sells electronics and telecommunications systems, including computer network hardware; provides support and consulting services relating to computers, electronics, and telecommunications.

Sanctions

Added on November 20, 2020 to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), blocking the entity's assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems; foreign parties facilitating transactions for the entity or otherwise assisting the entity are subject to U.S. sanctions; also subject to the Iranian Financial Sanctions Regulations; foreign financial institutions facilitating transactions for the entity may be prohibited from opening or maintaining correspondent or payable-through accounts in the United States.

Listed by the Japanese government in 2021 as an entity of concern for proliferation relating to missiles.
