Listed in an annex to U.N. Security Council Resolution 1929 of June 9, 2010, as an entity involved in Iran's nuclear or ballistic missile activities; removed from the U.N. list in January 2016 by U.N. Security Council resolution 2231; added to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on November 21, 2011, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems; removed from the SDN list in January 2016 as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action; listed by the European Union on July 26, 2012 as an entity linked to Iran's proliferation-sensitive nuclear activities or Iran's development of nuclear weapon delivery systems; removed from the E.U. list in January 2016 as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action; listed by the British government in 2015 as an entity of potential concern for WMD-related procurement.

Spearheaded procurement for construction of the IR-40 reactor; was the recipient of thousands of specialized valves from Germany and India, suitable for use in nuclear reactors, from a procurement network run by Hossein Tanideh that also included Gholamali Kazemi, Kianzad Kazemi, Hamid Khouran, and Rudolf Mayer; has collaborated with Faratech, Zolal Company, and Maysun Company on the IR-40 reactor.
