The Nuclear Research Center for Agriculture and Medicine (NRCAM) is considered to be another name for the Karaj Nuclear Research Center by the Wisconsin Project, but has been designated separately by the U.N. Security Council (on June 9, 2010) and the European Union (on June 19, 2010). The NRCAM was removed from the U.N. list in January 2016 by U.N. Security Council resolution 2231 and removed from the E.U. list in January 2016 as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The United States also considers the NRCAM to be an alias for the Karaj Nuclear Research Center, which was designated by the U.S. Treasury Department on August 12, 2008 and removed from the Specially Designated Nationals list in January 2016 as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
