An Iran-based electronics company; linked by the U.N. Panel of Experts on Yemen to cruise missile components used by the Houthi rebels.
According to Panel of Experts, was the last entity known to have custody of one of two shipments of German-origin 30.600 G OEM pressure transmitters that were later found in Quds-1 cruise missiles used by the Houthis in attacks on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia; had custody of the shipment in March 2018; the other shipment was last known to be in the custody of Turkey-based company Lonca Makine Sanayi Ticaret A.S. in July 2016.
Products include anti-explosion equipment, data loggers, pressure transmitters, recorders, relays, sensors, signal converters, sockets, switchboards, and switches; claims to sell products made in Austria, Germany, Iran, Italy, and Poland; also claims to have suppliers from France.
Customers have included Iran Electronics Industries (IEI), MAPNA Group, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Pars Oil and Gas Company, and MTN Irancell, an Iranian-South African joint venture linked to the government of Iran that has obtained goods in violation of U.S. export controls.
Founded in 1970 as Roshanaei Lighting Industries; adopted the trade name Sepahan Electric in 1987; reorganized as Sepahan Electric Jahangir Co. PJS in 2016.
