A subsidiary of Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG), which is a subordinate of the Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) responsible for Iran's liquid-fueled ballistic missile programs.
Added to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on March 24, 2016, freezing its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems; foreign parties facilitating transactions for the entity or otherwise assisting the entity are subject to U.S. sanctions.
Has conducted research on the manufacture and testing of a UHF band antenna on a low earth orbit (LEO) satellite, weight optimization of cylindrical shells reinforced with frequency constraints, and implementation of a second-generation night vision calibration algorithm using astronomical images; reportedly employed the Power and Water University of Technology's College of Mechanical and Energy Engineering for a project to perform tests on the corrosion of aluminum and steel alloys in a nitric acid environment; reportedly held training courses on jig and fixture design, Solid Works software, and cutting tool technology.
In 2009, signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in science and research with Amirkabir University of Technology; in 2005, reportedly concluded an industrial contract with the Iran University of Science and Technology Office of Scientific and Industrial Cooperation for consultation and measurement of antenna specifications.
