An Iran-based technology company with ties to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Ministry of Defense Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL); has produced components for Iran's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) program, according to the U.S. Department of Justice; leads an arms proliferation network supporting Iran's military, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Designs and manufactures surveillance, communication, and security systems for industrial and military applications, as well as electronic components and industrial automation systems; has produced electro-optical gyro-stabilized platforms for UAVs and light aircraft, and data transmission systems for UAVs and surveillance systems; additional products include ARIO thermal imaging cameras, laser range finders, night vision systems, spectrometers, and programmable logic controller (PLC) units; products reportedly include missile seekers and remote weapon systems.

Has produced technical components for the IRGC's UAVs, software for its aerospace program, and reportedly weapon sights for IRGC rifles; has also produced equipment used by the IRGC to censor social media and telecommunications content in Iran; has entered into defense contracts with Qods Aviation Industries (QAI); reportedly a subcontractor for Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries (HESA); has reportedly worked with Imam Hussein University and the IRGC Ground Forces to develop products.

Produces RU-series thermal weapon sights, which have been supplied to militias in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen; produced weapon sights that were seized from dhows in the Arabian Sea by U.S. forces in November 2019 and February 2020; according to U.S. Central Command, the weapon sights were destined for the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Produces the Ariotek brand of X-ray scanning machines; claims that Ariotek customers include the IRGC and Defense Industries Organization (DIO); Ariotek products have received a quality certificate from the IRGC and a permit from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).

Reportedly produces the ARIO-H762 remote weapons system allegedly licensed to Sudan.

Part of the Rayan Group, which has claimed to be based in Beijing; according to the U.S. Department of Justice, has procured thousands of U.S.-origin dual-use electronics from China through Emily Liu's procurement network; according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, has procured goods from the China-based company Wuhan IRCEN Technology Co., Ltd.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, in 2017 and 2018, involved in a conspiracy to procure an industrial microwave system and two counter-drone systems from companies based in the United States through its representatives Jalal Rohollahnejad and Alireza Taghavi.

As of August 2021, majority-owned by Rayan Fan Cav Andish Company.

Company officials include Seyyed Reza Ghasemi (chief executive officer) and Farshad Hakemzadeh (chairman of the board of directors and representative); Mohsen Parsajam was formerly chairman of the board of directors; procurement agents have included Jalal Rohollahnejad and Alireza Taghavi.

Sanctions

Added on July 18, 2017, to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), freezing its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 13382, which targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems; foreign parties facilitating transactions for the entity or otherwise assisting the entity may be subject to U.S. sanctions; also subject to the Iranian Financial Sanctions Regulations; foreign financial institutions facilitating transactions for the person may be prohibited from opening or maintaining correspondent or payable-through accounts in the United States.

Listed by the Japanese government in 2023 as an entity of concern for proliferation relating to missiles.
