Iran's Pars 1 Satellite Enters Space after Russian Launch

Russia launched an Iranian remote sensing satellite into orbit from the Vostochny Cosmodrome using a Soyuz rocket. The satellite, named Pars-1, weighed about 134 kilograms, was equipped with three cameras, and was traveling in a sun-synchronous orbit to survey Iran's topography, according to Iranian state media.
