A China-based engine producer; according to the European Union, suspected of sharing engine designs with entities producing Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Supplies Limbach aircraft engines and spare parts, including two- and four-stroke engines for experimental and ultralight aircraft and UAVs; products include Limbach L275E, L550E, L2400, L1700E, and L2000E engines.
Suspected by the European Union of sharing the L550 engine design with entities involved in producing engines for Shahed-136 UAVs, an Iranian-designed UAV developed by Shahed Aviation Industries for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force; Shahed-136 engines have been produced by Iran-based Oje Parvaz Mado Nafar Company and are reportedly copies of L550 engines under the nomenclature MD550; L550E/MD550 engines have also reportedly been used in Ababil-3 UAVs produced by Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries (HESA).
According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, involved in a procurement and manufacturing network for the Russian military-industrial complex to produce Garpiya series UAVs in China and import them into Russia; produces the L550E engine for Garpiya UAVs; according to the European Union, delivered L550 series engines used for manufacturing Garpiya-3 (G-3) long-range attack drones to a Russian military-industrial producer.
Products are used in Chinese military drones, including the Tengden TW328-A and TW765 UAVs.
Likely uses Xiamen Victory Technology Co., Ltd. as a front company; Xiamen Victory Technology Co. has attempted to sell UAV engines to Iran.
Has collaborated with Xiamen University of Technology faculty members on research related to the local production and design of aircraft piston engines.
Sister company of Germany-based Limbach Flugmotoren GmbH, which is wholly owned by Fujian Delong Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. and controlled by Chen Congming (Congming Chen).
Legal representative and chairman of the board of directors is Chen Congming.

Listed by the European Union on December 16, 2024, as an entity responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine; with limited exceptions, EU member states must freeze assets owned or controlled by the entity, directly or indirectly, and prevent assets from being made available to it.
Added on October 17, 2024, to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), freezing its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibiting transactions with U.S. parties, pursuant to Executive Order 14024, which targets the Russian government and entities connected to it for harmful foreign activities.
Foreign parties facilitating transactions for the entity or otherwise assisting the entity may be subject to U.S. sanctions; foreign financial institutions facilitating transactions for the entity may be prohibited from opening or maintaining correspondent or payable-through accounts in the United States; subject to heightened U.S. export license requirements (with a presumption of denial) due to involvement in activities related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
